Foundayo for maintenance?

Losing weight is one thing. Keeping it off can be just as challenging. If you’re approaching your target weight, you may be wondering whether Foundayo could help you maintain your progress. Foundayo contains orforglipron, a once-daily GLP-1 tablet that helps regulate appetite. It is licensed in the UK for weight loss and weight maintenance in eligible adults, alongside a reduced-calorie diet and increased physical activity.

Can it help keep the weight off?

There is evidence that it can. The ATTAIN-MAINTAIN trial followed people who switched to orforglipron after losing weight with semaglutide or tirzepatide injections. Over the next year, they maintained more of their previous weight loss than people taking placebo. Some weight regain still occurred, so switching to a tablet does not guarantee you’ll stay at exactly the same weight.

Could it cost less?

Foundayo may be more affordable than some Wegovy or Mounjaro injection plans. UK prices vary by provider and dose, but published pharmacy prices show that the ongoing cost can be lower. The right comparison is the cost of your prescribed maintenance treatment, rather than an introductory offer or starter dose.

Is it right for you?

That depends on your medical history, previous treatment and how you respond. Foundayo can cause side effects, including nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea and constipation. Any switch from an injection needs a plan agreed with your prescriber. For some people, a daily tablet could form part of a longer-term maintenance plan. Regular activity, balanced meals and ongoing support still matter—and the aim is a plan you can sustain.
